ABERYSTWYTH residents are being invited to attend a family fun day on Saturday in aid of refugee children living in camps in the north of France.
Local group Aberaid are teaming up with student group Aber-to-Calais to raise money for the children living in squalid conditions in Calais and Dunkirk.
The groups are holding a fund-raising event at Ceredigion Museum on Saturday, 23 April, between 11am and 2pm, where there will be fun activities for children, including a Kids Yoga session at 1pm.
The grown-ups can enjoy a massage from Ian Shires, and watch the World Premiere of a film made by the Aber-to-Calais team on their recent trip to France to deliver aid (12pm).
Admission is free and there will be music, face painting, a raffle, an art sale, refreshments and cakes for sale.
Julie Makin of AberAid said: “It should be a great event, with something for all the family.
“We hope to raise awareness of the plight of refugees in the French camps, particularly the children.
“And all money raised will go to helping those in Calais and Dunkirk.”
Further details are available on the Aberaid Facebook page.
