A SPECIAL fundraiser will be held in Penparcau in memory of a well-known Aberystwyth football manager.
Terry Davies, a former Aberystwyth Town FC player and reserves assistant manager and a league winner in 2017 with Bont FC, passed away in January.
His sister Katie Davies has now arranged a fundraising day on Saturday, 7 July, with a special football match involving Penparcau FC Legends, a quiz and raffle with proceeds going to charity Mind.
The fundraiser will start with the football match at 3pm at Min-y-ddôl playing fields with food available between 5pm and 6pm and the quiz running between 6pm and 7.30pm and the raffle draw taking place between 8pm and 9pm.
Katie said: “I am arranging a charity fundraiser for the mental health charity Mind.
“Let’s get together and spread awareness and raise money for this cause.
“Please support us and help make it a memorable day.”
As well as the fundraising day, Katie and other family members will be taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon on 7 October, which was Terry’s birthday, also raising money for Mind.
