Madam,
I see from his letter in the Cambrian News (15 December) that, according to Chris Samuel, the MP for Ceredigion (a constituency where a majority voted to remain in the EU) was wrong to represent the view of this majority in a parliamentary vote. This was because the majority of the UK population of the UK voted, by a narrow majority, to leave the EU.
I was always told that one of the duties of an MP is to listen to, and represent, the views of his constituents.
Funny old thing, this democracy stuff, isn’t it?
Yours etc
John Davis
Llanfarian.
