AN ABERDYFI GP who was constantly harassed by an obsessed ex-partner, has told how she was left feeling like a prisoner and suffered panic attacks.

Sara Bradbury-Willis, who works as a partner in Glantwymyn Health Centre, Machynlleth, has bravely spoken out in the hope her story will help others in a similar position.

She told the Cambrian News she suffered “unrelenting abuse” after former partner Andrew James Humphreys, 33, the head professional golfer at Aberdovey Golf Club, refused to let their relationship go.

Humphreys bombarded Dr Bradbury-Willis with thousands of unsolicited messages and phone calls over a six-month period even after she pleaded with him to stop.

Humphreys, of 12 Penhelyg, Aberdyfi, admitted harassment in Caernarfon Magistrates Court on 23 October and was handed a suspended six-week prison sentence, ordered to complete rehabilitation sessions, given a lengthy five-year restraining order and ordered to pay £1,000 in compensation.

The constant harassment inevitably took its toll on Dr Bradbury-Willis.
