Permission has been granted for Tywyn Carnival to take place on the recreational ground later this year.
During a full council meeting on 12 February, councillors voted unanimously to allow Tywyn Events Organisation to hold the carnival there.
Cllr Marisa O’Hara said she was impressed by how un-disruptive the carnival was last year in terms of noise and cleanliness.
A spokesperson for Tywyn Events Organisation said: “We are thrilled that the town council has granted us permission to use the recreational ground as our venue for Tywyn Carnival again this year.
“The event will take place on Sunday, 24 May. The parade will begin from Huws Gray at 2pm, and will lead on through the high street, along the seafront and then on to the recreational field.
“There will be live music, a family fairground, licensed bar, hot food, amusements, disco, side stalls and much more.
“For any enquiries, including float entries, contact – 01654 288536 or message Tywyn Events Organisation on Facebook.”
