On Wednesday, 17 February, I went to Tywyn health centre to receive a coronavirus vaccine. The organisation for managing the public was incredible very slick, with military precision.

There were marshals in the car park directing you where to park, marshals checking your appointment time and lining people up who were early, so the flow was smooth to appointment time. When I entered the building, again people waiting to take your details and marshals all the way along to assist you to the clinic.

As the world’s biggest baby when it comes to needles, I was a little apprehensive about the actual jab, but the nurse who attended to me was very reassuring and I didn’t feel a thing.

From the time I entered the building I was in and out within no more than five minutes. I cannot praise the staff of Tywyn Health Centre enough; their operation was organised to perfection.

Everyone involved is to be congratulated for doing such an amazing job for the people of the area.
