34 people have died in the Hywel Dda Health Board area from coronavirus, figures released today have revealed.
The jump in the number of deaths in Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire area comes after it was uncovered that Hywel Dda Health Board had been under-reporting the number of deaths in West Wales.
The health board has apologised for the error and has made changes to the way it reports death from Covid-19 going forward.
Daily figures released this afternoon by Public Health Wales reveal 73 new deaths from Covid-19 in Wales, including the 31 unreported from Hywel Dda until today, taking the total in Wales to 886.
Gwynedd has reported eight new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, taking the total to 218 from 661 tests conducted.
Ceredigion has yet again reported no new cases of the virus, with 35 confirmed cases in the county from 387 tests
Carmarthenshire has seven new cases, taking its total to 456 from 1,796 tests.
Pembrokeshire has 206 cases (three new) from 904 tests and Powys has 166 cases (four new) from 591 tests.
