Citizens Advice will continue to offer help and advice to people in Ceredigion remotely after taking the decision to close their offices in Aberystwyth and Cardigan.
Workers at the advice centre will be contactable online or by phone during these troubled times as coronavirus fears sweep across the county.
Speaking to the Cambrian News, Susan Chambers, chair of Ceredigion Citizens Advice, said: “Ceredigion Citizens Advice will be continuing to provide a service to people in Ceredigion at this very challenging time for our community.
“In order to do everything possible to look after and protect the health and well-being of our staff, volunteers and clients, we have made changes in the way we will be delivering our services.
“We will continue to provide our full range of advice services - and will be providing our services to clients remotely - by phone and on-line.
“Our offices in Aberystwyth and Cardigan will not be open for face to face callers.
“We have one phone number, 01239 621974, for all callers and you will then be put through to someone who can support you.
“Alternatively you can get help online at citizensadvice.org.uk or cabceredigion.org and follow us on Facebook and Twitter for regular updates.”
Ms Chambers added that the foodbank voucher system will continue to operate and will be by a telephone referral direct to the foodbanks in Aberystwyth, Cardigan and Lampeter by CAB staff and volunteers meaning recipients will not need to attend a Citizens Advice office to collect their vouchers.
