CEREDIGION has recorded no new cases of coronavirus again today, according to official statistics.

Ceredigion is again the only county in Wales not to record a single Covid-19 case according to data released this lunch time by Public Health Wales after the county recorded four new cases on Thursday.

Those cases could in part be down to a delay in recording 99 cases from January, which were added to the figures yesterday.

Gwynedd has recorded eight new cases today while Carmarthenshire has recorded 11; Pembrokeshire, nine and Powys, one.

Since the start of the pandemic, Ceredigion has recorded 1,743 cases of coronavirus, the lowest total of any county in Wales.

Carmarthenshire has recorded 10,618 cases with Pembrokeshire recording 3,361.

Gwynedd has recorded a total of 3,169 cases while Powys has reported 4,068 cases over the last year.

201 new cases reported across Wales today taking the nation’s infection rate up slightly to 44 cases per 100,000 population.

Nine deaths have been reported today, taking the total number of fatalities linked to Covid-19 in Wales to 5,476.
