No new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Ceredigion in the past 24 hours, according to the latest figures released by Public Health Wales this lunchtime.
The seven-day rolling total (for 13 to 19 March) for the county is just eight, resulting in a rate of 11.0 cases per 100,000 population – the lowest in Wales.
The total number of positive cases since the start of the pandemic is 1,746 – also the lowest in Wales - meaning 7.0 per cent of the 24,794 tests have returned a positive result.
This gives Ceredigion the fifth lowest proportion of positive cases compared to other Welsh counties.
Elsewhere in the Hywel Dda Health Board region, Carmarthenshire has reported six new cases and Pembrokeshire one.
The rolling seven-day total in Carmarthenshire is 58, and 41 in Pembrokeshire.
In Powys, one new case was reported today, taking the overall total to 4,091 - an 8.0 per cent positive proportion of the total 51,107 tests carried out in the county.
Gwynedd has recorded four new cases today, while the county’s rolling seven-day total is 52, resulting in a rate of 41.7 cases per 100,000 population.
A total of 3,195 positive cases have been returned in the county since the pandemic’s start, meaning 6 per cent of the total 53,459 tests have been positive.
According to Public Health Wales, 1,302,974 people in Wales have received a first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine, and 366,803 have also had their second dose.
As of the week ending 14 March, 169,884 vaccines had been administered by Hywel Dda Health Board, 68,207 by Powys Teaching Health Board, and 319,640 by Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board which covers Gwynedd.
Three new deaths have been reported in Wales today, taking the total number to 5,491, while 159 new cases were recorded, taking the overall tally to 208,277.
