OVER 2,000 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Wales today according to the latest data.

Three suspected Covid-19 deaths have been recorded today according to the latest figures released this afternoon by Public Health Wales.

2,389 new cases have been recorded across Wales with the rate of infection falling slightly nationally, now standing at 407.2 cases per 100,000 population.

Ceredigion has recorded 28 new cases of Covid-19 in the latest set of data, which covers a 24 hour period up to 9am on Friday.

No figures are released on Saturdays, with Monday’s figures covering a 48 hour period.

Carmarthenshire has recorded 158 new cases today with Pembrokeshire recording 53 cases.

84 cases have been recorded in Powys with 68 in Gwynedd.
