A GROUP set up to give a voice to patients at Aberaeron’s Tanyfron Surgery has been launched.
The surgery has established a patient participation group, which is made up of eight patients, two partners from the practice and the practice manager, will give patients the chance to suggest improvements to services and to have closer interaction between the practice and the patients.
Dr Helen Herbert, of the surgery, said: “The role of the PPG is as the patients voice, a channel for patients and practice to communicate with each other to improve present and develop future services in patient care.
“This is a very opportune time to develop the PPG as services are being stretched to capacity and new ways of service provision are being developed. The practice is looking forward to hearing the suggestions and feedback from the patients and work cooperatively with them.”
Through the PPG, the surgery will be able to inform patients of any changes, as well as raise awareness of current services and give patients the chance to put forward ideas that could improve services.
