A NEW defibrillator has been unveiled for Talgarreg, thanks to a local councillor and a pub’s charity fund.

The defibrillator has been placed outside the village hall after it was bought with a grant from the British Heart Foundation and contributions from the charity account of Tafarn Glanyrafon pub and Ceredigion councillor Gareth Lloyd.

The pub holds regular charity events with money raised going into the pub’s charity fund.

A box to hold the equipment was bought by Llandyssilio-go-go Community Council.

Cllr Lloyd said there will be a training evening for the public. He said: “The training night is tonight, Wednesday, 16 March, in the village hall at 7pm for anyone who would like to know how the defibrillator works.”
