THE latest defibrillator located in a very rural setting has been unveiled.
A project started by local residents Marion and Gareth Williams, assisted by PCSO Steve Regan, has seen the new life-saving piece of equipment installed at Ty-newydd farm campsite at Uwchmynydd, Aberdaron.
Funding from North Wales Police and generous public support has provided a defibrillator unit via Welsh Hearts (Calonnau Cymru) the local community and visitors to the area.
The unit is housed at the campsite entrance on the public road inside a disused BT phone box, protecting the AED unit from the elements.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “This is another piece of an expanding chain of AEDs on the Llyn Peninsula.“
