A LLANBEDROG pharmacy has scooped a national award.

William Llyr Hughes, who runs Llanbedrog Pharmacy and Aled Hughes, retail manager, were honoured at the Alphega Conference gala dinner held on 14 May in Telford, for being at the forefront of health initiatives, high standards, commendable customer care and focus on development.

In recognition of their outstanding dedication and passion for pharmacy and embodiment of the Alphega Pharmacy values, the childhood friends were presented with a cheque for £5,000 and an all-expenses trip to the next Alphega Pharmacy Europe Convention.

Business mentor, Donna O’Grady who nominated Llanbedrog Pharmacy, said: “William Llyr Hughes and his dedicated staff do so much to benefit their customers and patients and spend a great deal of time promoting the role of community pharmacy, offering activities for their local community which are fun and educational."
