A MACHYNLLETH hospital physiotherapist has thanked her hospital colleagues for their support as she plans another charitable trip to Lesotho.

Jan Jeffrey, who lives in Aberdyfi, will make her third trip to Lesotho in February next year to take important physiotherapy equipment to the African country.

Her efforts have been boosted thanks to support from colleagues at Bro Ddyfi Hospital in Machynlleth who took part in a sponsored walk up Cader Idris to raise money toward Jan’s fundraising target.

That money was presented to Jan at a special presentation at the hospital and she said the support of her colleagues was hugely appreciated.

Jan said: “The staff have been really supportive of the work I have been doing out in Lesotho, not only fundraising but also covering for me while I have been away.

“Staff, assorted relatives, friends and dogs held a sponsored walk up Cader Idris. Some staff were not very used to mountain walking and took part in several training events leading up to the event.

“We took the Minffordd path, which is a very rugged path to the summit, and fortunately the weather was fantastic and everyone completed it.”
