A LLANON woman has raised over £1,600 to help pay for a new chemotherapy unit at Bronglais Hospital.

Rhian Evans presented a cheque for £1,610, raised through a darts tournament and charity auction and raffle she organised after deciding she wanted to help the fundraising efforts for a new chemotherapy unit.

She said: “Cancer has affected members of the community and my family, and I was keen to give something back for the care they have received.

“When I heard that the chemotherapy unit in Bronglais Hospital were fundraising to raise money towards a new unit, I decided that I would organise an event to support that cause.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that supported the event in any way.”
