Funding

Some of our funding comes from your council tax payments, which we receive from your local community councils of around £15-£28 a year per household between Llandecwyn and Barmouth.

We have been informed this week that the community councils of Talsarnau, Llanbedr, Dyffryn Ardudwy & Tal y Bont will be re-directing this money into their own local projects and will not be contributing towards the centre which will mean that the future of the swimming pool is uncertain. If you would like this funding to continue, it’s important to let your community council know as we are not aware of any community consultations that have taken place around the decision to re-direct your money.

Please email your local community council if you want to keep the swimming pool open in Harlech:

Come along and show your support for this local facility which is uniquely owned and run by the community through a volunteer board of directors.

Would you be interested in volunteering at the centre or if you have any questions, please email: [email protected] or come along to the public meeting.

Offers:

From February you can buy a 10 x Swim Card (£50 Adults & £35 for Children); Monthly Swim pass (Adults £45 and over 60’s £40) and until the end of January all swimming sessions are £4 for adults and £2.50 for children.

Swimming is one of the best forms of exercise that you can do for all round fitness, toning and wellbeing.

Currently the café is only serving drinks but there are plans in place to re-open the café in the coming months. The state-of-the-art climbing wall is currently closed for essential repairs as water has entered the ceiling in the connecting corridor which will need some work doing on it before it can re-open.
