THOUSANDS of pounds are pouring in to a fund-raising pot created to install new life-saving equipment at Dolgellau Hospital.
In the summer, Dolgellau League of Friends kick-started a campaign to get an ECG machine for south Meirionnydd residents at the cost of £5,000.
The machine can use be to monitor heart health and to diagnose any potentially lethal defects in a patient’s cardiac system.
In the latest bid to raise money, enterprising couple Rose and Patrick Martin have collected more than £500 after conducting two events.
The dynamic duo first held a coffee morning in the town before organising a Night at the Proms event in Llwyn Care Home for residents and their associates.
The appeal total now stands at an impressive £3,292.29, just weeks after the campaign started.
