A fire at a house on the Llyn is thought to have been started by heat from a hairdryer in a drawer.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service released dramatic pictures of the damage caused today to the house at Lon Ceredigion, Pwllheli.
A spokesperson said: "These are photos of the damage from the fire in Pwllheli this afternoon, thought to be caused by radiated heat from a hairdryer placed in a drawer.
"Thankfully no one was hurt.
"Please ensure that you allow any electrical appliances to cool down fully before storing them away."
Crews from Pwllheli, Caernarfon and Abersoch battled to put out the house fire this afternoon.
The fire service was called out at 11.58am and as they tried to put out the blaze they urged residents to close windows and doors to keep smoke out of their homes.
As well as issuing a warning about electrical appliances, the spokesperson added: "The fire at a bungalow on Lon Ceredigion, Pwllheli is now under control. Due to the severity of the fire and residual heat, it is likely there will be smoke emitting from the premises for several hours."
