As we all stay home self-isolating, it gives us time to reflect on our lives. I am wondering if after all this passes we shall all appreciate the simple things in life more, with the blue skies and sun on our backs after days of rain we can now begin to embrace spring.

We are lucky enough to sit in our garden and watch the blue tits making their nest in the bird box, baby squirrels coming up the path to pinch the nuts that have fallen out of the bird feeders and doves bathing in the bird bath. The blossom on the trees, shrubs with their buds about to burst out – a time to reflect on nature at its best. We appreciate that those who live in flats can only do this with a daily walk for exercise, and we all must do our bit to keep a distance.

May I also say a big thank you to all the NHS staff, carers, binmen, delivery drivers, neighbours, relatives and friends, also to you the Cambrian News reporters for bringing us the local news. Diolch yn fawr and thank you all.
