WITH the launch of the ‘Keep Aber Tidy’ campaign this week, the Cambrian News has teamed up with the creators of the Fix My Street app to allow you to compare the state of your own neighbourhood with others in Aberystwyth.
The Cambrian News has this week launched the Keep Aber Tidy campaign aimed at tackling problems of litter, strewn refuse, fly-tipping, dog fouling, and graffiti in Aberystwyth.
Joining forces with activists, councillors, business owners, and residents, we are asking you, our readers, to send us your photographs and experiences of environmental vandalism in the town.
The Cambrian News has obtained data of the above problems going back nine years, which were reported in Aberystwyth using Fix My Street, a mobile phone app and website built by the charity MySociety, which allows users to report problems to the council.
Compare your own neighbourhood to others in Aberystwyth using these interactive maps.
• As part of Keep Aber Tidy, the we’re asking you to send us your pictures, including details of where and when they were taken.
These can be sent by email, with ‘Keep Aber Tidy’ written in the subject field, to caleb@cambrian- news.co.uk; or they can be sent by post to: Caleb Spencer, Cambrian News, 7 Science Park, Aberystwyth, SY23 3AH.
Alternatively, please tweet us your pictures via Twitter, using the hashtag #KeepAberTidy with the location included either in the text of the Tweet, or using the geolocation facility.
