Traffic lights remain in place at the site of a landslip that occurred yesterday morning.

The A493 between Pennal and Dyfi Bridge was affected by the landslide yesterday morning and initially closed to traffic while emergency services dealt with the incident.

North Wales Police said then that the road would remain closed while the highways department dealt with the incident.

However, one lane of the road was able to open shortly after the council arrived. The road remains open today with traffic lights in place.

A Gwynedd Council spokesperson told the Cambrain News: “A small landslip ocurred on the A493 between Pennal and Pont ar Ddyfi bridge yesterday morning (Tuesday, 15 February) however the road remains open. Traffic lights remain in place at present.”
