The lantern parade makes its debut at Aberystwyth Arts Centre following a series of public and schools workshops on Wednesday.

Visitors will follow a trail around Penglais Campus before returning to the arts centre for entertainment from Clocsio and Bollywood dance groups as well as a traditional twmpath.

The lantern parade is a fusion of art, heritage and culture, and spectators and participants can expect a visual feast of light and illumination.

All workshops were facilitated by Small World Theatre company, which exists to create exciting, innovative, high quality performances that challenge, express and explore assumptions about the world that we all share

They engage with diverse communities in Wales and overseas to foster well-being through participating in the arts, supporting positive individual behavioural change and bringing arts activity into the heart of community as a social change agent.

The workshops and events are supported by the Arts Council of Wales in collaboration with the Dream a Dream project.

The lantern parade event is this Wednesday, 30 October, starting at 6pm in the Aberystwyth Arts Centre Foyer.
