Regional Lions Club administrator Benjamin Manluctao, who lives in Aberystwyth, said David and Morena had distributed a range of items when they visited youngsters in schools.
He said: “They have given the children each a bag containing everyday school needs of a child going to school - a writing pad, colouring pad, pen and pencil, colouring pens and a bag.
“They engaged the children with various activities like a drawing competition, pinning the letters of the Lions Club, and putting into a picture what they want to be someday.
“The two Lions also distributed drinks and sandwiches for the children, with boiled eggs, bananas, cakes and fruit juices prepared with the help of the family of Raul Rosario Feliz, whom they met in the Dominican Republic.
“Raul, together with a childhood friend, James, formed a group called Ministerio Cristian, with the aim of helping abandoned children, and to give them help and guidance to achieve a better life in the future.”
