THE guest speaker in May’s meeting was Jennifer Cairns, who gave a thought-provoking talk on the subject of ghosts. She has spent years researching this topic and is still gathering information. She spoke of people’s experiences of having had extraordinary sensations whilst passing or visiting certain locations. Anyone who has had any such experiences at any time or any place is most welcome to contact the speaker.Jen was warmly thanked for an interesting talk by Rowena Williams.Raffle winners were Sally Davies, Gwen Lewis, Rowena Williams and Barry Williams. Tea hostesses were Sally Davies and Mair Spate. Gwen Lewis was elected as vice president.The next meeting will be the annual day trip to Haverfordwest where a visit to a chocolate factory has been arranged and an evening meal at Tanerdy in Carmarthen has also been arranged. If interested, contact Sally Davies by 30 May. The trip is on 3 June.

Community council

THE financial accounts of Llangybi Community Council may be seen with the clerk by appointment between 10am and 6pm from 19 May to 16 June.The AGM of the council will be held on 25 May at 7.30pm at Ysgol y Dderi. Everyone is welcome to attend.
