A PENRHYNCOCH man has landed one of the leading roles in a show at Disneyland in Tokyo.

Former Penweddig pupil, Joseph Scannell (pictured), 21, will travel to Japan later this month, spending the next year performing as Peter Pan in a show at the theme park portraying some of the most famous scenes from Walt Disney’s films.

Hundreds of people from around the world applied for the role in the One Man’s Dream show, and Joseph said he was “lucky” to land the role and was looking forward to starting.

Joseph started dancing lessons at the age of 15 at the School of Dance at Aberystwyth Arts Centre, and said that “dancing in his blood”.
