A lorry was damaged after hitting a verge on the A470 near Dolgellau, partially blocking the road.

The one-vehicle accident happened just above Mile End service station on the Dolgellau bypass, on Monday morning.

Disruption was caused on the roads as motorists made their morning commute or journeyed towards the Eisteddfod in Llanrwst.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: “We had a report at 8.39am on Monday, 5 August, of a collision involving a lorry on the A470 at Dinas Mawddwy. No-one was injured but the road was partially blocked.”
