A FAMILIAR face in Pwllheli appeared in the ominous big black chair during the Mastermind grand final on Monday evening.

Former resident Lynn Edwards, 60, who now lives in Bethesda, sailed through the initial heat and the semis to gain her place on the podium in the final.

Sadly she failed to win, but did not let herself down.

Having excelled answering questions on the Forsyte Saga and then Queen Mary in the early stages of the competition, Lynn opted to go for the films of Alfred Hitchcock in the grand final.

Lynn (pictured) did not have a single “pass” in all three appearances on the long-running quiz show.
