A PUB chain has apologised and banned a customer from its Pwllheli premises after a woman with an autistic son was left in tears.Jenny Clough was left reeling when “the rudest man she’d ever met” shouted at her and her autistic five-year-old, telling them to leave the Pen Cob Wetherspoon on Station Square. The shocking incident took place last Wednesday when Jenny Clough’s son Jack became overwhelmed and upset after entering the establishment.Despite them only being in the building for mere seconds, a customer marched up to Jenny and told her to “take him outside” as he was “trying to have a quiet meal with his wife”.When the 32-year-old mother apologised and explained Jack had a condition and would settle down in a moment, she said he cruelly replied “that’s not my f****** problem”.When staff eventually came over to deal with the incident, Jenny, who is on holiday from Manchester, said she was horrified to be told to be more sympathetic to the pub’s other customers.Wetherspoon have since “wholeheartedly apologised” for the incident, offered their staff more training, and banned the “rude” customer from the establishment.
