A 33-year-old man is due to appear in court charged with causing the death of a pedestrian, who went to school in Tywyn, by dangerous driving.
Stefan Gvozdenovic, from Lane Avenue, Walsall, is also charged with failing to stop at the scene of the accident in Walsall Wood High Street on Saturday, 24 November.
Mr Gvozdenovic, a plasterer, was remanded in custody after appearing at Walsall Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
His next court hearing takes place at Wolverhampton Crown Court on 2 January.
The person who died is 28-year-old Carl Moore, who went to school in Tywyn before moving to the Midlands.
He was rushed to hospital following the collision but died of his injuries.
Floral tributes were left by loved ones outside The Boatman’s Rest pub where the incident happened.
