A LLANON woman has spoken of her shock after her partner was allegedly assaulted outside his home.
Paul Hutton, 50, a domestic cleaner at Bronglais Hospital, is understood to have become involved in an altercation when the incident happened.
His partner, Teresa Evans, said Mr Hutton was outside awaiting a delivery when the attack happened.
She told the Cambrian News: “He was knocked unconscious and stamped while he was lying on the floor.
“I’ve reported it to the police, but I also want people to be aware of the type of characters there are around here.”
Ms Evans said that the attack had left Mr Hutton, who has a back condition, “black and blue”.
She added: “He’s been up to the hospital twice.
“Both sides of his head are sore and swollen and he has two black eyes as well.”
A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they were investigating an allegation of assault which happened on the evening of Thursday, 7 September, in Llanon.
“A male was injured during the incident,” she added.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact police by phoning 101.”
