Sponsored walk and horse ride

A PRESENTATION took place on Tuesday, 26 January, of a cheque for £1,300 by Ken and Alice Price to the Meirionnydd Special Riding Group.The group is one of over 500 groups in the UK affiliated to the Riding for the Disabled Association to provide therapy, achievement and enjoyment for children, teenagers and adults with disabilities through the medium of horses. Together with a donation of £1,000 from Barclays Bank, a total of £2,600 was raised from a sponsored walk and horse ride organised last September by Ken Price and Louise Peters from the farm of David Evans in Aberhiriaeth. A cheque for £1,300 was previously presented to Meurig Ward, Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth.
