During the general election, I was sent a handwritten letter from Mark Williams, Liberal Democrat candidate for Ceredigion to my home address. The final paragraph states: “This election will be between Plaid and myself (Lib Dem) only, Labour, Conservatives and the other parties cannot win in Ceredigion.”

I found this misleading for the electorate, including myself. Only Plaid and Lib Dem can win in Ceredigion? The result: Plaid first with Conservatives second.

Misleading the electorate in this way cost Labour and other parties valuable votes. Mr Williams needs to apologise. Any party standing at the general election could have won. Sending false information out to the voting public is so very wrong.
