THE FIRST meeting of the year took place on 7 January at the Ganolfan. It was also the AGM. The president, secretary and treasurers reports were read for 2015. The group had a successful year, enjoyed trips, meals out and some very interesting speakers, together with the cente-nary celebrations. The meeting was then handed over to Margaret Lloyd Jones, Federation Advisor who took the votes for 2016 president. Jean Morgan was unanimously re-elected as president. She agreed to accept for one more year. June Keen, vice-president; Linda Scrivens, secretary; and Beryl Williams, treasurer all agreed to stay in their posts for 2016. It was proposed and seconded. Margaret asked the group to remember to vote for the resolution they wanted to be discussed at the annual meeting in June, votes had to be sent to Caernarfon by mid January.The tea was then served by Jean B, Brenda W and Carol, before Jean took the chair and the group continued with the normal January meeting.The monthly letter was read, members were reminded of the invitation for Boccia and New Age Curling at the Leisure Centre, Porthmadog on 23 January and the spring meeting at Brynrefail school on the 30th. Names of those interested were taken. The eight resolutions were read out and votes were taken on each one. These will be forwarded to Caernarfon. Three hotels were suggested for the birthday lunch in March, menus will be requested and a decision made at next month’s meeting at 2pm on 4 February. Everyone welcome.
