Alan Davies is wrong to state that any future coalition Welsh Government would not result in changes to NVZ regulations (Views, last week).
He is also wrong to claim that repeal can only be secured by voting for his preferred party. We have hosted and attended scores of hustings across Wales in recent weeks.
These have been attended by politicians from all parties and the vast majority have made it clear that they do not support the NVZ legislation and recognise it as damaging for farmers and the environment.
We are therefore of the view that there are many different election outcomes which might result in the legislation being effectively revoked.
The FUW is not allied with any party and we have members from across the political spectrum.
We will work with elected politicians from all political parties after 6 May.
Whilst Mr Davies has every right to his own political views it would be wrong of readers to assume that they carry greater weight simply because of his decision to highlight his previous position with the FUW.
