A mountain bike rider has been airlifted to hospital with multiple injuries.
Aberdyfi Search & Rescue Team was called shortly after 1.30pm yesterday, Friday, to rescue the badly injured biker from a remote spot north east of Dinas Mawddwy.
The air ambulance was already in attendance and had landed as close as it could to the injured man.
Medics were stabilising the casualty and treating his multiple injuries, but the Helimed helicopter does not have winching capability, so the Coastguard Rescue936 Helicopter was requested to lift the injured man from the steep, rocky slope.
The rider was flown to a better landing site and transferred to the air ambulance.
He was taken to Stoke for emergency care.
