Llanidloes Women’s Section of the Royal British Legion has dedicated a plantation of silver birch trees, one for each name on the Llanidloes and District Cenotaph at the town hall.
The ceremony had been planned to mark the 75th Anniversary of the end of the Second World War last year, but was delayed until last week. The moving event saw a commemorative plaque unveiled by the section president Pat Thomas.
A dedication of the trees was given by Rev Alison Gwalchmai with Rev John Davies offering prayers for the fallen.
