Madam,

I am afraid John Lucas will be disappointed over getting an improvement in our local trains until the National Assembly take over the running of them (letters, last week’s Cambrian News, ‘Use some of the increased revenue to invest in trains’). The train operating company is owned by a foreign (nationalised I believe) railway company and the profits go there. Rumour has it that, whilst our fares increase, those in that country remain static.
