HARRY Potter actress Julie Walters has been spotted around Meirionnydd, as she takes part in filming for a new TV programme.
Ms Walters, viewed by many as a national treasure, was in Tywyn last weekend presenting a new programme showcasing Britain’s coastal railways.
The Talyllyn Railway, the world’s first preserved train company, is one of several “beautiful and interesting” railways that feature on the up-coming Channel 4 show.
Ms Walters also paid a visit to Llwyngwril’s yarn bombers, who have famously bedecked their entire village with wonderful woollen creations.
Following her visit the star, who first came to prominence for her title role in Educating Rita, spent the night in the Cross Foxes hotel.
