THE World’s first preserved heritage railway has new general manager.
On Monday, 9 May, Tracey Parkinson took up the ‘e-steamed’ post at the Talyllyn Railway, first established as a tourist attraction in 1951.
The official handover between herself and David Ventry, the interim managing director, took place in front of locomotive No.7 ‘Tom Rolt’ at Tywyn Wharf station (pictured).
A spokesperson for Talyllyn Railway said: “We would like to thank David very much for his hard work and enthusiasm during these past months, and we wish Tracey all the best for the future as she takes up the role of general manager.”
