Madam,
From time to time, we read, hear and see complaints being made about the NHS in Wales, both by patients and indeed the Tory Government at Westminster. In this connection, I would like to bring to your readers’ attention, the OECD report on health services throughout the UK. The report shows how well, in fact, the Welsh NHS has performed. This same report shows that the health service was no worse in Wales than elsewhere in the UK. In fact, the OECD report concludes that there is a “clear and consistent commitment to quality of care”. I agree with the First Minister, Carwyn Jones, that the NHS Staff in Wales deserve an apology from the Westminster Government.
Yours etc
O Jean Thomas
Llanfair
Harlech.
