A PUPIL at Ysgol Bro Hyddgen, Machynlleth, has donated some of her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
During the school summer holidays, Nina Bussink (pictured) performed the selfless act of cutting her hair in order to help children who have been affected by cancer or hair loss. Nina donated some of the hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Nina, a student in Year 9, said of the haircut: “I cut off around about 14 inches of hair, but 12 inches were donated to the Little Princess Trust.
“It will help some child who may have suffered from cancer and has some, or no hair. One inch of my hair was trimmed. I wanted a hair cut because long hair gets in the way after a while, and I happened to have enough cut off to donate.”
A spokesperson for the school said: “Thanks to Nina’s generosity, another child will be provided with a real hair wig. We as a school, are so proud to have such generous and charitable pupils, like Nina.”
