North Wales Police has been awarded Level 1 Status under the national Police Performance System recently introduced by the Home Office.

The framework assesses every police force in England and Wales and places them into one of four performance levels.

The level assigned reflects current performance, the extent of support required and the level of national oversight needed.

This is the highest of four grading levels and reflects the forces’ current performance, placing it in the top performing group.

Chief Constable Amanda Blakeman KPM said: “This is very positive news, and is reflective of the ongoing hard work and dedication of our officers, staff and volunteers who strive day in and day out to provide the highest quality of service to our communities."
