Northern lights captured above Cardigan Bay

PHOTOGRAPHERS pointed their cameras into the night sky on Sunday to capture Aurora Borealis above Cardigan Bay.

Bright Northern Lights illuminated the night sky across much of the UK on Sunday night thanks to a severe solar storm, said to have been the most powerful in six years.

There is a chance that the astral display will be visible again tonight, but being able to see the lights this far south will depend on cloud cover.
