Madam,

Re the controversy over St Winefride’s Church. As an Aberaeron parishioner, I have kept out of the controversy until now.

However, the town council’s recent objection to the plan for St Winefride’s really shocks me as I see a destruction of a spiritual life, a morale-breaking conspiracy that flaunts all legitimate authority, immense destructive pressure on quite a few people and the causing of increasing scandal.

All for the sake of some local “pride”.
