To get you in the mood for the festive season, the Cambrian News has a great Christmas giveaway, with prizes worth nearly £1,000 in total.

Running for over two weeks, starting on 3 December, there will be a great prize to be won each day, through our Facebook and Twitter pages.

We have teamed up with locally-based businesses, throughout our circulation area, to offer some fantastic prizes to help make your Christmas extra special.

Prizes up for grab include £50 worth of meat from the Moody Cow restaurant and farm shop near Aberaeron; a six to seven-foot real Christmas tree from Ystrad Nurseries at Llandovery; a £50 M&S voucher; and hampers of food from Ultracomida in Aberystwyth and Coconut Kitchen.

There’s a £70 voucher to spend at TJ Davies jewellers in Aberystwyth; Polly’s in Aberystwyth is giving a red leather ‘Sticks and Stones’ bag worth £59.99 to one winner; a £50 voucher for L’Armoire designer boutique in Llanidloes; and a £50 voucher to spend at Y Parlwr Gwallt hair salon in Aberaeron.

For those who enjoy going out to dine or for a few cocktails, there’s a three-course evening meal for two plus a bottle of wine to be won for Tafarn y Maes in Capel Bangor and £50 vouchers to be won for Baravin and Y Banera in Aberystwyth.

There’s Sunday lunch for two and a bottle of house wine at Gwesty Cymru in Aberystwyth, worth £62; and fine dining for two plus a glass of wine at Hammet @ Castell Malgwyn in Llechryd, worth £100.

And there’s a Sunday night dinner, bed and breakfast for two at Park Plaza Hotel in Cardiff, worth a whopping £125.

Each day, the competition will go live at 5pm and you will have 48 hours to enter, through Facebook or Twitter. The winner will be announced soon after and contacted with details of how to claim the prize.
