OVER 200 tractors hit the roads of Meirionnydd for the fourth Welsh National Tractor Road Run last weekend.

The Road Run is organised by the Meirionnydd NVTEC and convened in the Farmers Mart, Dolgellau on Sunday, 12 June.

TV presenter, Alun Elidyr, from S4C’s Ffermio programme was on hand to wish the tractor drivers a successful and enjoyable day and together with the Mayor of Dolgellau, Dyfrig Siencyn, started the tractors off on their meander of Meirionneth.

The Tractor Run is an annual event, circulating around the old Welsh counties, is held in aid of charity, with this year’s chosen charities being the Meirionneth Royal Welsh Show County Appeal, the Wales Air Ambulance and Cancer Research UK.
