Madam,

I was shocked to read in a recent article that Penparcau is set to lose out yet again, with a much-needed revamp of our park across from Llwyn-yr-Eos now downgraded to a new lick of paint.

The excuse that the intended new playground is no longer in production might explain small changes to the plan. I doubt anyone would have complained had the town council opted for another model. But, using the money to spend elsewhere in Aberystwyth, is a decision that to many will be beyond comprehension when we desperately need improvements to our park in Penparcau.

It’s not the first time we’ve been let down in Penparcau by politicians, and sadly I suspect it won’t be the last but, with elections on their way, could it be about time we see some changes?

Yours etc,

Charlie Kingsbury, Welsh Liberal Democrat council candidate for Penparcau, 4th Avenue, Penparcau, Aberystwyth.
