Madam,
The pavements in Aberystwyth need repairing and they are a health and safety hazard, in others words filthy.
Perhaps business rates could be reduced on the proviso that all business property owners wash the pavements outside their premises. Even house-holders in the town could help if they washed outside their properties every day. Rubbish should be collected very early in the morning, say at 6am in the town centre so there are no black bags on pavements. Landlords who let their properties should have adequate storage for bins and if the rubbish was collected at 6am then residents could take their bins in before going to work or heading out. This would make the town look more attractive.
The only interest seems to be turning a shop into a museum and café. If local restaurants let their premises become health and safety hazard, they would be shut down. So, what’s more important?
Yours etc
